Fun times

George and Eric took the two younger boys to a Reds game on Thursday. It was actually Kaleb's first game.

While they were there, they saw MARIO LOPEZ who everyone knows as A.C. Slater from Saved by the Bell, and my good hubby even took a picture for me!!!! Gotta love him!

Afterwards we all went to Olive Garden and did some serious pigging out! YUM!

Then we came home for a game of baseball in the backyard. Notice: for boys who don't like pink...there's a lot of pink baseball equipment....pink glove, pink bat, and even a pink ball. They have their own, but for some reason Makenna's keeps getting used.

3-2-1 BLAST-OFF!!!!!

Boys will be boys, no matter the age. Eric bought this rocket...."for the boys, Marshan...." However, I'm pretty sure I know who the rocket was actually for. After many failed attempts, and a couple patches of duct tape, this rocket soared through the air causing lots of fun for the whole family.

Caterpillars

Took a trip to the park today. Caterpillars were everywhere on the trees, and that, of course, made the boys super excited. Shoot, Makenna even got in on the excitement. I was sure that she was gonna pull one apart. Amazingly enough, she didn't although she dropped a few.

the Alma Fortress

Look what Kaleb and Blake helped their daddy build today out of scrap wood that he had around the house! Blake was so pumpd about it, and he already took guard at the top of the fort. Luke and Jakeb decided to come check it out after I told them no more Halo! They chose to play Halo over building the fort. Man, were they surprised at the fort. (Oh, and Jakeb's crying because he got in trouble and wasn't allowed to climb on the top.)
I forsee lots and lots of fun out there. They're already thinking about adding on to it!

Could someone please....

....explain THIS to me?????? Why??? Yes, I know you're all going to say..."because they're boys!" But seriously! It's gross and yucky, and of course I JUST MOPPED MY FLOORS when they were playing outside. It never fails. I mop, and they always find a way to get extremely dirty.
So in efforts to save my mopped floor, I HOSED them down outside.

Christmas in January

These presents have been sitting in my room since Christmas in clear view. The boys have been pretty good about not bugging me about them. I didn't want to open them because they took 28 batteries for all of them to work together. (Seriously, what was I thinking? But I got them so cheap.) Well, today Makenna decided that it should be the day to open them and started opening the gifts, so I let the boys finally have their presents. Man, they were stoked! They are Halo guns kinda like laser guns. You have to shoot the person hit the target, and blah, blah, blah. Too bad I wouldn't give them the batteries. Funny part is....they didn't care about getting the batteries. So, for the rest of the day, all I heard was boom, boom, bang, bang. Hey, they were having fun.

First day of Co-op

This year we decided to do a co-op along with homeschooling. In case you don't know, a co-op is when a whole bunch of homeschool moms get together and have their kids to classes together. For instance my kids have a geography class together, a human body class together, and then they are split up too. Blake has a science experiments class, Luke has ART (which he loves), and Jakeb has math games and PE. Even Kaleb has preschool and Makenna is in nursery. The moms all stay and help with a couple of classes. Here's a couple of pictures......one is through a glass door. I was hiding out in the hallway outside of the gym. The teacher must have said, "Where is that flash coming from?" And Jakeb told on me. He said, "It's my mom taking pictures!" Little stinker! I didn't get to do any school shopping yet, so next week I'll take pictures of them with their backpacks.....just like the real first day of school.

Forgotten pictures

I was deleting my entire memory card when I decided to check what was on it first. I had Christmas up until Easter on it, and that's when I found these. I think I took these just a couple of weeks ago, but then the memory cards got switched around, so I totally forgot about these pictures.

I don't even know what they were doing, but I love how it captures them all being goofy, yet loving.

Dollar toys

I love the Target Dollar spot. See what fun things you can get there. When we were shopping earlier this week, I bought these for the boys because they were being so well behaved when we were out. We finally got around to pulling them out today, and boy, did they have fun. (Well, not all of them....but that's a whole other story. I'm sure you'll be able to tell by who's not in the pictures.)

Air Rockets and slingshots....shoot, I tried to play with these toys, but they kept taking them away from me.

I love this one of Kaleb. What a stance, huh?

Meeting Santa

Took pictures with Santa today after church at Walmart. (they were doing free pictures with Santa.) The older boys know that Santa is not real, but I tell them that it's kinda fun to pretend so they needed to tell Santa what they wanted and then he would call and tell me what to get them. They were so excited about seeing him and talking to him about it all. I love the pictures of the boys whispering to Santa.

Fall Festival

A church in our area had a small fall festival where the older boys were able to enjoy a hayride, crafts, and pumpkins. (For some reason, the younger boys were scared of the hayride.) Here's some pics of the day.

Party poopers!

Fort Liberty

We heard about a new park the other day, and we ventured out to find it. What's funny is that the boys kept telling me that they had been there before, and I was very adamant and told them no they had not. They kept saying that they had. They said that when they were at the Hall's house when we were having Makenna that they came to the Fort Park, but I thought they were confusing it with another park by the Hall's house. I mean, seriously, who wants to argue with a five and six year old, so finally I just said that I didn't want to hear another word about it. When we got there....well, they said it again. And I finally believed them because well, they knew everything about it, not to mention the fact that they said that they drove to the park with the Hall's as opposed to walking to the park by their house. Man, I hate it when they're right because then I have to admit that I'm wrong...which I did.

Anyways, this park is very cool. They was tons of stuff to do..balance beams, swings, sand box, tons of hiding places and tunnels...bridges...seriously it was sooooo cool. Unfortunately, the weather was not, so we didn't stay too long.

This tire shot is one of my favorites ever of the boys. Fun, huh?

Yahtzee

The boys have learned how to play Yahtzee. It's a hand-held game, but nonetheless, they have learned. They actually taught themselves how to play. What's funny about this is Eric's father, T-Rex, plays this game a lot at home, or at least he used to. Well, it looks like his grandsons have inherited his love for Yahtzee. I could play this game forever and get no Yahtzee's, but I'm not kidding...these boys are good at this game. They somehow get Yahtzee's all the time, and always get high scores. It's crazy!

Playing together

In case you were wondering....here's what the boys were doing while I scrapbooked. They were playing together with the Imaginext toys. These toys have been put away for awhile too (kinda like the train....lots of pieces...), so they were happy to see this long-lost toy.

Sharing

Look, the boys were sharing with Makenna! See the stickers? Not too sure what she thought of it, but it sure was cute. I think they are just trying to introduce Dora to her a little early!

Bunk Beds Complete

They are finally complete. Yay!!!! Looks great, huh?? He put the ladder up after I took pictures, so there is a way to go up and down easily! The boys readily went to bed. After putting them to bed, I heard some talking in there and found Kaleb climbing up the ladder to sleep with Jakeb! Bless his heart! He so wanted the top bunk. Maybe in a year or two!
