ROCKET SHIP

Okay, so we're trying to get motivated to potty train Jakeb. Yesterday, we asked him if he wanted to sit on the toilet, and shocker of all shocks....He said "yes!" So, he got up there, sat comfortably on the cushion seat, held the little handles, and proceeded to tell me that he was on a rocket ship. His exact words were..."hey, this is kinda lke a rocket ship!" So funny.

Also, at dinner time, he saw his daddy's eyebrows go up, and got the biggest kick out of it. So then while he was on the toilet, he decided to start trying to raise his! His haircut makes him look so much more like a little boy instead of a baby!

OLD STUFF AND NEW STUFF
I'm using my old stuff....hence the Paper Bliss choo choo train..... Normally, I don't use a lot of cutsie stuff. The bottom left picture is going to be a 5x7 that I'm picking up at Sam's Club tomorrow. And then I'm going to write some journaling about Kaleb being "Engine No. 4"...the fourth boy. (And yes, I know it would have been cooler if the train would of had 4 trains, but it only came with 3. I could have made a fourth one, but I just didn't think it was worth the time.) In case you couldn't tell, I cut off part of the right side just a little bit. (If you click on the pictures, they get big.)

and I'm using my new stuff...the Sassafrass Lass arrows stamps. Oh, and I used this really big ribbon too that I bought a couple of months ago. So proud of myself. I don't think "Spaghetti Dinner Mess" needs any journaling, do you?

I've decided that I need to be strong and scrap my pictures using the stuff that I have, and not spend any more money. I have tons of stuff and will probably never run out!

I Scrapped!

I scrapped for the first time in quite awhile. I've been buying supplies lately like they were going out of style, so I challenged myself to use some of the new supplies that I have, mainly my stamps. I have so many of them, and I don't use them as often as I should. This layout has Technique Tuesdays Medium Rounds on it as a background paper. It turned out a little better than I thought it would. I don't love the page, but I don't hate it either. SO I guess I would say that I'm satisfied.

The meanest mom in the world!

My child is so gonna hate me one day!!!! But, isn't this funny ! Little Kaleb carrying a purse like a little old lady! Too bad it didn't match his outfit better!

2 PEAS Challenge of the Day

List 5 things you like about yourself! I'm not too good at these kind of things, but let's see...

1. I believe that I have a decent amount of self-esteem. I think that I've gotten to the point in my life where I am ME, and I don't have to be like anyone else. I like who I am and who I've become (minus a few flaws). I have my own standards and beliefs. And I'm not too worried about what people say or think about me.

2. I believe that I'm a good friend. I think that I'm pretty fun to hang around with and that I am there if I'm needed for my friends.

3. I'm getting to the point where I'm not afraid to voice my opinion...this kinda goes along with self-esteem maybe.

4. I'm somewhat creative hence the reason I scrapbook!

5. my laugh or should I say my humor. I think I'm funny. And I think that other people think that I'm funny. Or at least they pretend to think I'm funny.

Father's Day post...a little late!

Here's what I got Eric for Father's Day, the hose reel and the hose nozzles. We've had the hose itself forever, and it's been here or there usually not put away, so I figured this was the best way to keep it out of the way. He also got some safety glasses too.

I ended up taking him out to Chipotle and to Maggie Moo's afterwards. So I think he got pretty spoiled this year! Hopefully he knows how much we love him and what a great dad he is!!!!

2PEAS CHALLENGE:

What scrapbooking supplies would I want if money were no object???

I do like the new Rhonna Farrer acrylic stamps , the new Heidi Swapp alphabet stamps , and complet set of Bazzill cardstock paper would be cool. The 3M ATG Tape dispenser gun .that everyone is talking about is on my wish list now too. I just went on a buying spree so there's not much else I really want. Ooo, I would mind having all the Stampin up ink pads and monogram stamps. That would be pretty cool. Oh, I forgot, I also want the Urban Chic Tote-Ally Cool Tote !

Haircuts!

I gave the boys their summer haircuts. Hopefully, I won't have to break out the trimmers again until September! (wishful thinking) Even Jakeb got sheared! Okay, so Kaleb didn't get a haircut, but I still had to include him in the page!

So, the two peas challenge is about online shopping. I'm so bad about shopping online especially if "free shipping" is involved. A few posts ago I posted my favorite online scrapbooking stores, but as far as other stores online I love EBAY ...I used to be a huge ebay junky...of course I did find that online stamping store through there that makes great stamps, Clear Dollar Stamps .

I really like to look at AMAZON which is associated with Toys R' Us especially to see their reviews on things, not to mention a lot of times they have free shipping and their scrapbooking book prices are cheap.

For online photo developing I shop at WINKFLASH because of how cheap there shipping is...99 cents regardless on how much you get! But other than that....I don't shop too much online....so there, you have it....Those are my online stores besides the scrapbooking ones posted further down!

Look where I found Kaleb the other day!

Two new "Firsts"

I had two new experiences this weekend. One was going to my first Bachelorette party!!! It was tons of fun. It was so fun to embarass the bride to be. You should have seen some of the presents.

I also went to an outdoor wedding for the first time ever today. That was nice. It was pretty warm out, but it was the perfect day for a beautiful wedding. Angela was so beautiful. And they were so happy. And of course, I loved the kilt! Yes, that's right, the kilt! The guy wore a kilt! Made everyone chuckle. I heard that at the bachelor party, there were some guys making fun of the groom, and they were wearing a kilt and dancing. Then all of a sudden, the kilt fell of the guy that was making fun of the groom. That would have been so funny!

Anyway, the wedding was beautiful!

Portrait Innovations - LOVE IT!

So I went to a new Portrait Studio called Portrait Innovations today to get the boys' pictures. I had been hearing about this new place that took a huge amount of pictures and actually placed them on a CD that you could buy. They also printed your pictures out within 15 minutes, and they gave you the options to change it from color to black & white or sepia for absolutely free. They had packages starting at $10. But when you spend over $75, you get the CD free. It was awesome.

The boys didn't even really cooperate, but the photographer just kept snapping pictures left and right. I was pretty sure that I was gonna just walk out of there with the $10 package. WRONG!! I had Blake's graduation pictures taken, Kaleb's 18 month pictures taken, and then also pictures of all the boys. And out of the 77 pictures he took, about 10 of them came out great. I mean, you have to understand...for some reason Kaleb refused to cooperate whatsoever! He wouldn't sit by himself anywhere. But oh well....the pictures still came out awesome. Kudos to the Portrait Innovation photographer! He got down and dirty getting pictures of the boys. I will definitely be going back quite often. (I might not ever go back to SEARS again!) When you see Kaleb's pictures...remember...he wouldn't cooperate at all!!!

Guess who got a hold of KALEB?

Luke came into my room today, and told me he did this to Kaleb! I told him he had to stop doing this to people, including himself! Scroll down to see what Luke did to himself yesterday!

Luke

Luke came into my room tonight looking like this! Blake's name stamp on Luke's face. He made some silly comment when he came in, but I can't remember it for the life of me!

Why must little boys get so dirty?

Jakeb loves his water/sand table. Of course, it's pretty rare that we put sand in it, because what's the point? The sand eventually turns into mud and then a huge mess, so we just keep it filled with water instead. It seems to pacify them still....until this day....This day is the day when Jakeb decided to fill the water table with mulch/dirt. It was so pretty, let me tell you! Of course with these pictures, you can see for yourself! Lovely, huh? And, of course, Kaleb had to get in on the fun too! YOu should have seen the bathtub after their baths.....it almost looked as bad as the table!

These MEN are OBSESSED!

Let me just tell you, these men are obsessed with FIREWORKS!!! I won't even go into details about the amount of money spent on the fireworks, but I would definitely consider it OBSCENE! Anyway, Kent and Eric are getting so excited about the 2nd ANNUAL KENT AND ERIC FOURTH OF JULY EXTRAVAGANZA (celebrated on the 3rd, however). THey've gone all out this year. I'm talking....they went all out. They've invited everyone they know.I'm not allowed to give details about it because they want to suprise everyone, but here are some pictures of them preparing....(2 1/2 weeks in advance....and it's just the beginning of the preparations!) INSANITY!!!!! Check back after the 4th for the actual pictures of the fireworks. Did I mention how I sooooo don't approve?

Oh here's a picture of them last year doing it all up. Did I tell you all that they lit a tree on fire last year?

HOwever, look at this cute picture of Blake with the ear guard thingys on. He looks so grown up!

Oh, NO!!

Here's a couple of Kaleb faces...or should I say a few things that he does. He's skilled at saying, "Oh, No!" WHen he falls or whenever, he will put his little hands up to his little cheeks and say it. So cute.........
..... and then we have the beloved...."Kaleb, where's your nose?" We made the mistake of laughing the first time he did it, and so now he does it every time...the finger doesn't just point to it, but UP it! Cracks me up still!

Blake's Kindergarten GRADUATION

So this is actually just of a few of Blake's graduation pictures. His whole graduation was very spur of the moment. For those of you who don't know, we homeschooled the older boys this year which is why he didn't get an actual kindergarten graduation ceremony. (still a little bummed about that)
We borrowed the gown from Stacy's friend, and since Leeann was there to pick up Kyla, I asked if they could stay just a little bit longer to witness my little boy's graduation! Then I sent Luke over to invite Mrs. Dean. Eric said a few words about how good Blake did this year in learning to write and read and do numbers. Then he handed him his little diploma.

Eric said a few words about how good Blake did this year in learning to write and read and do numbers. Then he handed him his little diploma.
I had to bribe him to wear the cap and gown. I told him if he wore it and let me take some pictures, I would buy him a toy next week. The above picture is one of my favorties. I think that's the one when he smiled really big because I told him that if he would just smile for the pictures I would stop taking them sooner!!!

Anyways, I'm so proud of my little man!! I can't believe he's in 1st grade now! He's so cute!

I
