First Photo Shoot

So I've been debating whether or not to post these because I want to make my baby announcements with one or a couple of these pictures. I just can't decide which ones. These are all the items I received from my friend Pat and her daughters. I love them all so much. It was so much fun to take these pictures. I actually had two photo shoots. One at night time which the pictures didn't turn out so well, and the others were in front of window the next morning. Those are all the brighter ones. Now I just have to choose which ones to use. Any ideas?? I listed them by numbers so you could tell me your favorites!

1. She looks so chunky in this one.

2. okay, and this one...

3. Look at her smiling!

4. I love the headband!

5. Seriously, how sweet is this one!

6. ...and this one??? The headband is just so precious on her.7. then we tried to have some fun with changing the colors. I think she's yawning in this one. Cute, Huh?
8. Here, she looks like a little porcelain doll. Doesn't she?
9. Look at those little hands!
10. And those squeezable cheeks!
11. She's smiling again!!! Her and her toothless grin!
12. Had a little fun in Paint Shop Pro doing the pink Hope. (However, Luke was putting it away and dropped it. Now my Hope is a HO! I'm gonna have to get a new one.)
13. I love the sleeping pictures.

14. And the last one in sepia.

Wow, I didn't realize I had posted so many pictures. What's sad is that this is just about 1/4 of the pictures that I took. So, maybe I got a little carried away. But, believe it or not, I took about this many pictures of the boys too. However, on the first three boys I was still using film, so it got more and more costly. But, believe me, I've always been a picture junkie!
PS. Lisa, so what do you think??? Ready to start a business yet???

I love this picture!!!!

It's just so SWEET!!!

Pretty in Pink

How cute is she??? And all pink!!!!

Fireworks

Just a couple more days until the Firework Extravaganza! Eric's already started setting up.

First Dr. Appointment

She had her first doctor's appointment today. She weighs a whopping 10 pounds still, and they say that she's 22 inches long now.....I think they just mismeasured. She's completely healthy, so I was thrilled. They were all so excited for me that I finally had a girl because they have known me since Blake's birth.

More Progress...Shingling

They're shingling the roof. Yay!!!

Eden Park

Eric called and asked us to come down to have lunch with him today. Sweet, huh? I think he misses the kids cause we've all been super busy lately with everything. We went to Eden park where although it was hot, the kids had a nice time playing for awhile. I didn't put any pictures of the park on here just the scenery around. The one of me and the kids is by the Ohio River and across the river is Kentucky.

First bath

Makenna had her first bath tonight. She was not overly impressed. Water in her face....who can blame her? Bless her little heart.

One week old

Grocery store

Well, I ventured out to two places today. We went to this great consignment shop called Twice Blest to look for pants for Luke. Somehow...all of a sudden...he has no church pants. The poor kid tried on about 8-10 pair of pants, and nothing...zilch...nada...zero...none fit him at all. Poor kid. He just needs that elastic waist band! While he was trying clothes on, I just happened upon the baby girl clothes. (Is it my fault that the small dressing room was right next to the infant girl clothes?) I had a coupon, so I planned on buying something. I also ended up finding Kaleb a new pair of shoes. Anyways, I was so excited to find out that all infant clothes were 1/2 off, but I'm so thankful I didn't find out until I was checking out or I would probably have spent a lot more money!! I got Makenna a couple of outfits. (I know...I'm out of control!)

So anyways, after that...we went to Kroger because my father in law asked me to stop and pick up some pop....a.k.a. COKE. (I can't believe I call it pop now! I'm so ashamed.) So, we all traipsed in...all 6 of us. Talk about crazy!!!! But we made it through. I'm thinking that it's not gonna be a everyday occurrence though!

A surprise package

OH my word....just look at this stuff. Isn't it absolutely adorable. My friend, Pat and her two daughters Miriam and Rachel, surprised me with this awesome package today in the mail. I love it all. The little gown is my absolute favorite. I love the colors. The blanket is soft and so sweet. I can't wait to wrap her up in it. And look at the booties and the little socks that look like Mary Janes......ahhhh!!! so sweet looking. Girl stuff is sooooo fun!! I'm thinking a photo shoot is coming on soon!!!!!

Progress....a ROOF

We have a roof!!!!!!! Looking good, huh?

Kid's Day Out!!!

Some friends from church called us up yesterday and asked if they could take the boys to a movie and then out to eat afterwards. I couldn't believe their kindness. I mean, they are the sweetest people...so I can believe it, but what I'm trying to say is....well....this is our fifth child and no one has ever volunteered to do something like this before just to give mommy a break. Thank you, Bev and Alicia! You both are wonderful!!!
They went to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and then afterwards were going to meet up with their husbands at CiCi's pizza giving me a nice relaxing 4-5 hours of quiet time. What a great treat!!! From what I understand...little Kaleb fell asleep during the whole thing, and Jakeb was completely glued to it the entire time. Oh, and I heard they make a delicious brownie at CiCi's.......they had to stop Luke from eating any more.
Oh, and I don't think that I've mentioned that our church has provided us with 5 meals. Well, actually 6 counting Lisa's yummy chicken casserole. And these meals aren't small....they're enormous!! We'll have left overs forever, but they sure are yummy leftovers. I just can't get over the kindness of the people in our church. It's overwhelming and wonderful.

Lost tooth

Luke lost a tooth last night. Or should I say that Eric yanked it out. Luke was so excited. He has three other loose teeth, the two top middle ones and one on the bottom. If they all come out soon, he's gonna be a snaggle-tooth. It'll make great pictures! Know what's really funny is....he put it under his pillow and then realized that he had lost the tooth....(this has happened before). Thankfully this time he found the tooth and put it back in the envelope for the tooth fairy to come and get it.

Getting out of the house

So I was going stir crazy and desperately needed to get out of the house. I took the boys, oh...and Makenna....to the park. (I can't just say boys anymore, can I?) We went to Sharonwoods which is where we have been going, but we went to a different play area that wasn't quite as populated, or so I hoped. The boys loved it more than the colored one. For one thing, there was a fun little cabin for them to play in. It was also a lot more shady over there, so they didn't get quite as hot as normal, so there was no request from them to go home. Jakeb was following Blake around everywhere. He's very into his big brother right now. By the time we left, they were playing hide and seek with some of the other kids. I love the picture of Luke running and laughing!

Boots

For those of you who have known our family for some time, know that Blake used to be...what's the word???.....obsessed with boots. Yes, that's right....boots. His first pair of boots were yellow rain boots that he insisted were Santa's boots. They eventually became pirate boots, knight boots, and any other kind of boots imaginable. I mean, Blake wore them everywhere...he would wear them to church, the park, even to bed. I have lots of pictures of his boots, but I don't think any of them are digital. I'll have to look.
The whole reason for that preface was to show you who is starting to like boots now. That would be Jakeb! He's wanting to wear them everywhere now. It makes me smile to see how Jakeb wants to be like his big brother Blake. I even caught Jakeb wearing the boots to bed although he did take them off eventually.

Here's Luke wanting to get in on the boot fun although he was never that big into the "boot thing."

Gotta love a Kool-Aid mouth

.....that won't go away. Luke came home from church with his stained face this morning. And he went back to church with it still on his face tonight. He said he scrubbed it, but it wouldn't come off. Yet another thing to make me smile.

Luke and Kaleb...and Makenna

They are always wanting to hold her. I mean, always. But they sure are sweet when they do.

Can't you just tell how much they love her??
