We're home!

Okay, we're home, and have been home for a couple of days. But I've been slow in getting back to the blog. We had a good time in Michigan..enjoyed the family reunion, went to Mackinac City, and LOST TWO BOYS!!!! No, they're not actually lost, but the older two boys are staying with their grandparents until the baby comes. It was all such a last minute decision, but they were stoked to be staying. I haven't even talked to them yet because I don't want to be the "over-paronoid mom," but I'm calling them today and gonna talk to them. I've heard that they are having an excellent time, so no need to stress out. Right?

Here's some pictures from our trip.

Some reunion pics

We celebrated Jake's birthday again up there. It was pretty late when we finally went out to eat at Jet's Pizza, but he didn't care. Shoot, the kid got to play at a wanna-be Chuck E. Cheese, eat pizza, and then go shopping afterwards...not to mention stay up till almost 12:00. It was definitely a good day for the little guy.

After church on Sunday morning we went to Fort Michilimackinac and Mackinac City. I love the pictures of the kids at the beach.

Ha!!! here's a picture of them in the latrine all sitting on the pot.

And then we went to the house of mirrors where there is a maze of mirrors to go through and them crazy mirrors at the end.

Happy Early B-day, Jakeb!!!

The day started out with a dreaded dentist visit for me, the momma! Blech! Afterwards, we stopped ToysRUS for some fun shopping. Then it was off to BANANAS which is like a Pump it Up or Run, Jump, and Play Inflatable place. Jakeb had been wanting to go to an inflatable place for his birthday, so we found this one which was cheaper than all the rest, and I think it had more inflatables too, at least it had more selection than the others. The kids had a blast! There was a few times that Kaleb got stuck, and someone had to rescue him, but other than that...it was a great time.
We had been deciding whether or not to go to Michigan this weekend for the family reunion. One doctor told me I shouldn't go; the other told me I could. So, we decided that we would make our decision based on the ultrasound that I had today. As of right now, the baby is close to 8 pounds and measuring at a little over 38 weeks, so we've decided to risk it. Makes sense, right? Seriously, my babies don't come early although I wouldn't be surprised if this one did. Anyways, because of that we decided to celebrate Jakeb's b-day tonight since his birthday is Saturday, and we won't be here. Eric picked up the cake on his way home from work, and we put trick candles on his cake, and he just couldn't figure out why they wouldn't go out! It was great!

Oh, and we're surprising Eric's parents for this trip, so don't ruin the surprise!!!!!

Some fun this evening

The younger boys wanted to play with the slide/pool today, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather that God gave us, and play they did!!!! Since I had a lot of them sliding already, I just took some fun water pictures!!

They've done it again....

Portrait Innovations has taken some stinkin' cute pictures of my kids again. Of course, it totally helps to have some of the cutest kids in the whole wide world. (Note: I said "some" only because I didn't want to hear anyone disagree with me about their kid being cuter. Ha!) The kids did great today too getting their picture done, even Makenna. She was posing and everything.

Oldie, but Goodie on Friday

I was looking for pictures for Blake's collage, and I found a ton of cute pictures of the kids that I know I've never posted on the blog, and well....it's my blog so I can still post them which is going to start my oldie, but goodie on Friday postings. You never know how old the picture might be, but hopefully every week, I'll find an old pic an post it with some kind of story behind it. Of course since some will be that old, I might not remember the store, but hey...that's okay. Right? Here's Jakeb when he was about 18 months old. He was fully dressed when he went outside,b ut then got into the most mud that you have ever seen. So I took off all his clothes which only made it worse and caused him to play even more. But seriously, how could you not LOVE that face?

week in review

Jakeb and Kaleb started their first t-ball practice this week. They didn't have any equipment for the coach today, so the practiced running the bases and catching balls.
We went and sang for my Grandma's day care today, and look who wanted in on the action!

Someone lost his very first TOOTH tonight! Who-hooo!!!!

Oh,and just for Betsy....here's a couple of pictures of the musical McDonald's. Here's the younger side of the playland. When you slide down the slide, it plays music. When you beat on the drum it makes noise, etc. The bigger kid side is just as cool. They have a wall you can climb and if you reach the top, you can hit the notes to play music, and of course there's a huge slide and keyboard that you can walk on and play music. It's tons of fun.
