Check out those freckles

I didn't even realize that Jakeb's went all the way up on his forehead until this picture!

Okay, so Makenna doesn't really have them, but I couldn't leave her out, could I?

3-2-1 BLAST-OFF!!!!!

Boys will be boys, no matter the age. Eric bought this rocket...."for the boys, Marshan...." However, I'm pretty sure I know who the rocket was actually for. After many failed attempts, and a couple patches of duct tape, this rocket soared through the air causing lots of fun for the whole family.

KJV only boy!!

Man, it's surprising the boldness of Blake. The boys went to VBS at another local Baptist Church who is KJV only. Apparently, though...the curriculum that they chose to use used the NKJV on the verse sheets, so we chose to make sure that we learned still out of the KJV. So they one of the verses was..."All power is given unto me...." (Mt. 28:18) Only thing was....the NKJV says "All authority.." I made sure that I pointed this out to the boys and they learned it the correct way.
Blake went on to VBS that night, and proceeded to tell his teacher that his Bible said power. Well the teacher for some reason assumed that he had a NKJV because apparently they didn't know that their curriculum was NKJV. They actually thought it was KJV. Anyways, he went on to say, "No, my Bible is KJV," and then he showed them the spine of his Bible. Then the teacher was shocked and awarded his team an extra 100,000 points because of it.
I wonder if I would be able to be that bold. He's never had a problem doing it, and it makes me happy. I hope he always speaks up for Christ.

You be So&So, and I'll be.....

This all happened and was recorded earlier in the day before any of the current happenings of this man's life. I've never liked the man, so sorry if you're offended.

"......MICHAEL JACKSON!"

That's what I heard my seven year old say to his younger brother. I was like, "What???" So I called Luke into my room, and said,
"Do you know who Michael Jackson is?"

He sheepishly said, "No"

"He's a very bad man who sings bad music and does bad things to kids."

"Oh"

"Now, do you really want to be him?"

"No"

As I'm trying to hide a smirk, "Please don't pretend to be people who you don't know anything about."

"Okay!"

"Where did you hear about Michael Jackson from?"

"I heard you and Daddy talking about him last night."

Man....those little ears are EVERYWHERE!!! Somehow the boys heard of the moonwalk dance thingy. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to stuff like that, so I had asked Eric if that was the Michael Jackson backwards dance thing. He responded yes, and made some kind of joke that it would work better if you have only one glove on. Then we started to rag on the man for a minute, and voila....my son wanted to pretend to be Michael Jackson.

Happy Birthday, Makenna!!!

Makenna's b-day was yesterday, but we didn't celebrate until today. The boys thought that she had a really lousy birthday until they realized that we were celebrating today. (We had Backyard Bible Club this past week, so that's why we didn't celebrate.) We did the normal cake, presents, and Chuck E. Cheese. She had a blast although she was not too impressed with the blowing out the candle part.

lack of blogging

I haven't been in a blogging mood lately Sorry, ya'll. We've not done too much of anything the past couple of weeks. Of course, we've visited some parks watched some movies (Night of the Museum 2 and UP - both of which are pretty good), and done some shopping, but nothing too exciting. I'm trying to get motivated to start school again, go till the baby is here, and then take our summer vacation, but I'm not feeling that vibe anymore. I did get to go to a used curriculum sale this past week, and I got my History curriculum: Tapestry of Grace along with some reading books for the kids. So technically I have all my books, so I can't even use that as an excuse. Must get motivated!!!! Or.....maybe I could just take two months off and not finish next year until the end of June... hmmmm...there's an idea. I'm sure my kids would love that.
I think the most exciting thing that's going on this past week is the fact that my next ob doctor's appointment is in TWO weeks!! I've hit the one appointment every two week mark. Yay!!! Which means, just a two of these and then we're down to 1 appointment a week! Baby girl #2 will be here before we know it.
