Today was my dear friend Terani's birthday. Her husband is out of town, actually out of the country...in Germany. And well..since he's gonna be gone for awhile....I wanted her to have something to remind her of Roy, so I made her a mini-Roy. I found an "inflatable husband" that was 3 feet tall. I taped a picture of Roy to the face. Of course, I added clothes too, and then...the mini-Roy was complete. Later, I took pictues all around my house showing what the Mini-Roy could do, and I made a little album for her...kinda like an instruction manual. If you want to see it...CLICK HERE. Anyways, here the video of her seeing mini-Roy for the first time.
We had such a good time at Red Robin. Happy Birthday, Terani!

Oh, and by the way...here's the pictures of mini-Roy around the house.
All of you guys are going to be thrilled. I, on the other hand, am still a little shocked. It's been awhile since this has happened....well, I guess not too long...it's about as long as it takes our family. Umm...well, get prepared to meet our newest addition to our family......
It's a blue Ford Expedition XLT. We got a superb deal on it, but it's a long story. We went to look at another Expedition, but saw this one instead. The car dealer guy told us an extremely high price, and we asked if they would take an extremely low price (the price included the taxes) and they needed to throw in a DVD player. They surprisingly took our offer. We were shocked, but didn't want to rush into things. We prayed and both felt a peace about the whole thing, and so we brought home the car. When we got home, Eric checked online and found that the exact car's asking price online was less than what we paid......about 1,000 less. So the good deal that we thought we were getting wasn't really a good deal. We felt that they lied to us, and we were both upset. So, well this was a first for me....we took back a car the next morning. (We hadn't actually paid for the vehicle yet.) So, Eric went in and showed them the price online, and inquired why we paid more. They claimed that they didn't know about the online price (yeah, right). Anyway, we were fully prepared to return the car, and that would would be that. They didn't want to lose their sale, so let's just say that we got the car for the asking price, plus they threw in a very expensive DVD player too. We got an excellent deal. Who-heee. It's seats eight, so in the event that we actually ever have another child, then well.....we'll be set.
(Okay, so did I actually get any of you with the whole "announcement" thing?)
Tonight was our split night activity with our Sunday School class. We went to the Melting Pot. You probably remember that I've been there before. If you're wanting to check the last time...click here.) Anyways, there were 11 of us ladies that went, and I thought it was Y-U-M-M-Y!!!!! Of course, I love 2 of the three courses we got.....cheese (appetizer) and chocolate (dessert), so I thought it was well worth my $20. Shoot, I still think I would pay $20 just for the dessert....that's how good it is! Just typing about it is making my mouth water........Anyways, we had a great time. Here's some pics.
all the girls Terani hootin' and hollerin' over the Melting Pot Okay, so I'm being a little weird here. -Me and Lisa- But I just assumed that ya'll might be tired of looking at pics of me and Lisa, so I decided to spruce it up some. Megan, Lindsay, and Candace
Deb and Terani Angie and Jen the sisters - Jayla and Jamie
And last, but certainly not least.....here is one of the four AMAZING desserts that we could choose from. This one was dark chocolate and white chocolate mixed. YUM!
Our church broke ground tonight. It was a great service. The skies threatened rain the whole time, but God held the rain off for us. We actually held the service outside, but we sat in the area where our auditorium will be, so our lawn chairs were pews tonight. Everyone was able to break the ground which I've never experienced before, but it was so exciting. First they had Pastor and his wife break the ground...then the charter members...the building committee, and then the rest of the church. Even the children were allowed to participate, and of course they loved every minute of it.
Pastor and his wife Eric Pastor's dad breaking the ground. Blake Our Sunday School class. (Were you guys standing in our new classroom?)
They also had everyone find a rock and stack it up on top of each other as sort of a monument of the night. (It that the right word, Lisa....Monument????) Here's Jakeb putting his on.
And a long day qualifies for a LONG, LONG post. It started out with getting ready to leave to go purchase our books for school, and as I was going to get my phone, I discovered that the boys decided it would be fun to lock the bedroom door to where my phone was. (It was charging in the room that is not in use right now. We're going to paint it before we move the boys back in to it.) Anyways, I called Eric and asked where the key was, and he told me that Blake had it. Blake tells me that Jakeb had it, and they tell me they don't know where it is resulting in me knocking the door in. They do it on TV. I figured I could do it too. Fortunately the only damage was a crack in the door on the side, so you couldn't even tell. (We're planning on buying new doors anyways, so it didn't matter. ) Then while I was loading the van up, I nearly killed myself by falling down the stairs. Well, I actually caught myself but dropped our picnic lunch....those poor smashed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! We met Amy at the Beka book sale, and then drove over to Smith Park for the kids to play. There I decided to be brilliant and lock my keys in the van resulting in poor Eric having to make a 45 minute drive to come open the van in the middle of the day. Whoops! This was just not my day! Here's some pictures of the park though. The kids had a blast.
Kaleb, Addison, and Jakeb Anderson is soooooo cute!
After Eric came and let us in the van....we went to Baba's and Great Grandma's house. Jakeb got some 3-D sidewalk chalk for his b-day and Baba has the perfect driveway for it.
Baba and Makenna an awesome Sunflower that grew by itself by my mom's mailbox. (By itself I mean......she didn't plant it or anything. )
We left Baba's house and then stopped at Mickey D's where they were having their Thursday special.....Happy Meals for $1.39, so we ended up getting 5 Happy Meals and 3 Large ice teas for only $7. Incredible, huh? We stopped there on the way to Lisa's house where we were meeting Barbara to take pictures of cute little Ruth. Check these out!
After taking the pictures, we came home. Lisa had given the kids a race car to play with outside, so we broke it in right away. Kaleb had a hard time getting it to go, but then we realized that it turned into a bouncer too... which of course, Makenna LOVED it! So the toy that was intended for Kaleb and Jakeb turned into Makenna's. Thanks, Lisa!
And last but not least....we have this hilarious video of Kaleb where I was apparently "bothering" him. It's hilarious!!!
She's growing up. She figured out how to drink with a straw on Sunday at O'Charley's. Here's a pictue of her today at Toot's looking all grown up with her cup!
Today was Amy's birthday, so we went to Toot's for lunch to celebrate. Afterwards we went to Walmart. Check out what kids do for fun at Walmart when they're bored out of their minds.
