Our church broke ground tonight. It was a great service. The skies threatened rain the whole time, but God held the rain off for us. We actually held the service outside, but we sat in the area where our auditorium will be, so our lawn chairs were pews tonight. Everyone was able to break the ground which I've never experienced before, but it was so exciting. First they had Pastor and his wife break the ground...then the charter members...the building committee, and then the rest of the church. Even the children were allowed to participate, and of course they loved every minute of it.

They also had everyone find a rock and stack it up on top of each other as sort of a monument of the night. (It that the right word, Lisa....Monument????) Here's Jakeb putting his on.

HOW EXCITING!!!
I got all goosebumpy thinking about it!! What a blessing to build a church and for your children to remember the day, each shovel of dirt, and the prayers and blessing over the property!!
WHAT A MEMORY!!
I remember being in a young married's class with lots of babies, etc.!! WHAT FUN YALL HAVE!!
May God be glorified with this new undertaking!!
