Merry Christmas to ME!!!!

So, my in-laws have been here since Thursday. When my father-in-law discovered that I didn't have a dishwasher and hadn't had one since the middle of September, he made it his goal to get me one before he left. So Eric and him went to Kentucky today to get a Maytag dishwasher for me that they could pick up and install themselves.

Here's the coolest part. Not only did they come home with a Maytag dishwasher, they brought home a deep freezer too. I've been wanting one of those forever! We never have enough room in our regular freezer for our food. Merry Christmas to me!!!!!! Thanks, Rex!!! You're the best! Oh, and did I mention they gave us a four-slice toaster for Christmas too. This must have been my appliance year!!!

Who would have thought that one person could get so excited about appliances!!!!

The Beach Waterpark- Holiday Fest

My brother's family, my mom, my in-laws, and my family went to the Beach Waterpark Holiday fest where there is a huge slide to sled down, iceskating, rides, a petting zoo, and tons of other stuff to do. The boys weren't too crazy about the big slide although they all liked the strawberries and the carousel.

Christmas Part Three

Part three was spent with Eric's family. They arrived about 4:30 on Thursday. We opened presents at about 11:00 at night. (Don't ask, it's a long story!) Anyways, they filled up our tree looking a lot like it did for part one of Christmas.
The boys were thrilled with all of their gifts, not to meniton the fooseball table that they all got to share. Eric was jumping up and down when he got his Tiger Woods '07 for his 360. And I was pretty estatic about my I love Lucy season 1 DVD set. I've been wanting to start collecting those for awhile! I can't wait to start watching them. They are gonna be so awesome. It's was after midnight before we all got to bed, but it sure was fun.
Here's Kaleb opening his Elmo Toolbelt. Me opening my new tool kit from Grandma and Grandpa Ayers
Luke opening his fur real Newborns. He was pretty excited about these.
The boys with their new pint sized fooseball table!
The older boys with their new tool kits.
Jakeb opening his truck.

Christmas, part two

My brother, Michael, and his family came over for Christmas. They got to our house about noon. We ate around three o'clock, and then we opened presents around 5:00. Here's a picture of all the cousins!
Before opening presents, we had the children act out the Christmas story. Kaylee was obviously Mary. Poor Luke got stuck being the donkey, and Kaleb was baby Jesus for awhile until he got so mad because they almost dropped him. Then we substituted the Cabbage Patch Santa for poor little Jesus.
See Kaylee almost drop Kaleb. He was so tired, and manger wasn't looking to comfortable to Kaleb.
The Shepherds in the fields looking at the angel that were saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill towards men."
The shepherds who came from the fields. Or were these the wise men from the East? I can't remember. Oh well!
The boys opening their present from Uncle Michael and Aunt Stacy. It's a air hockey/pinball table. Very cool!
The kids playing the air hockey game. They loved it!
I did all of my mom's Christmas shopping for her. I won this off of ebay for my niece Kaylee. She loves Wonder Woman, and I knew it would be a huge hit with her. What's funny is that my mom had pretty much no idea what was in the box, so it was even a surprise to her.

Blake's Superman inflato-suit

This is all Blake wanted for Christmas. He talked about it for months that this was all he wanted. If someone asked him what he wanted, he would say, "I want the Superman blow-up thing!" Never failed.

When he got it, he was thrilled. He jumped up and down with joy. It was one of the first gifts that he opened and took out of the box. Then he tried it on, and HATED IT! I thought it was cool, but he did not!

Christmas Morning

So Christmas morning, Blake woke up at about 7:00 in the morning saying that he couldn't breathe because nose was all stuffed up. But miraculously, he was cured when I mentioned that it was Christmas morning and asked him if he had seen the tree yet. He ran to the tree, then ran to wake up his brothers. The we spent the next hour opening presents. It was great fun!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, our family tradition is to read the Bible story about Jesus' birth, and then everyone gets to open one present each. The boys were pretty pumped about it. Blake opened some Superman walkie talkies (that ended up not working, so back to the store they go.) Luke got a Calcubot. Jakeb got this wooden stacker. (Just look at his face. He was excited.) Jakeb actually tried to take his toy to bed with him. I told him to put it up in his room, and I found it on his bed when it was time to go to bed. And Kaleb actually opened his yesterday when he wasn't supposed too. He got some Little People circus animals. This is a picture of the tree without the flash in the dark. I kinda like it. The other is a picture of our Christmas tree after the boys went to bed, after we put all the toys out and the stockings too.

Anyway, tomorrow should be an exciting day. My brother and his family are going to be in town, so the boys will have their cousins to play with. We will have Christmas in the morning, and in the afternoon-once with us and then with my extended family. We're supposed to have Christmas dinner here too. Eric is going to deep-fry a turkey, and my mom is bringing the ham! Yum!!

Sound of Music

So this is Eric watching Sound of Music. It is actually one of his favorite movies of all times. It was, in fact, one of the only movies that he owned before we got married. So to watch him glued so earnestly to it, well, it just makes me laugh. I think he has a crush on Julie Andrews. Just kidding!

Niki's presents

I've been meaning to post these for a few days, but my camera has been in my bag, and everytime I come down stairs I realize I don't have it. Then a little bit of laziness sets in and I'm just to tired to go and find it in my purse.

Anyways, we got Niki's present earlier this week. I think it was on Monday or Tuesday. The boys were thrilled. At first we were going to be strong and not open them, but, okay here's my theory: if I waited till Christmas, her presents would have just got mixed in with all the others and they wouldn't remember who they were from. But, if they opened them on a different day..... then they remember exactly who they were from. So I caved, and let them open them early!! Sorry Niki! Blake got a superman game for his V-smile; Luke got a toy story game for his v-smile; Jakeb got a Tickle me Curious George, and Kaleb got the Fridge Magnet Radio. They loved their toys. Oh, Eric and I got cool stuff to: I got a cd, dvd, and a gift card to Motherhood Maternity; and Eric got a rechargeable battery for his X-box 360. Thanks NIKI!!!!!! You're the best!

Stockings still need to be stuffed, but other than that....I think I'm ready. We borrowed someone's deep fryer to deep fry a turkey. My mom's making the ham and most everything else. I need to clean the house for my brother and sister-in-law and kids who are coming on Christmas day and my in-laws who are coming next Thursday (Sorry, George you probably won't get a clean house.),but other than that...I'M EXCITED AND READY!!!!!!!
