MSBC's 2nd annual Ornament Exchange

We had our church's 2nd annual Ornament Exchange, and I think it was just as huge of a hit as the first one was! We had twenty-nine people show up with twenty-nine ornaments, tons of food, and lots of fun! It was such a great time of fellowship. I think people were looking forward to it for quite some time. They said last year that it was the funnest activity ever!
Anyway, what we do is draw numbers, and then start picking presents. Each person has the object of taking a present or taking someone else's present! So there was a lot of stealing, fighting, and fun going on because the same people kept getting their ornmanets taken! Now that I've made it sound like a continual cat fight......No, seriously, it was tons of fun, and I ended up with one of the ornaments that I wanted, so I was quite pleased!
Oh, and I forgot to mention how wonderful the devotion was. It was basically asking, "What type of ornament are you?" Are you a broken ornament, a shiny ornament, an old/peeled ornament, or an ornament that sits on a shelf? And then that was applied to our Christian life and what kind of Christian are we for Jesus! It was very stirring!

What fun those exchanges are....and, with an ornament, you can recall year after year the fun at the exchange. The fellowship and the Wrod (as it was soo appropriate for the theme!)

I think I got the best ornament of all. . . who can pass up a floppy-eared elephant with a pink tutu and ballerina slippers on!? I think that beats your snowmen, my friend!

MMMmmmm, chocolate chip cream cheese dip. . .yummmmm. . . . I know you hate me for it, but I'll make it up to you! : )
