So I was thrilled when Mindy suggested meeting there. What's sad is (and I didn't even tell Mindy this) I wanted to call her Thursday morning and cancel. I was feeling very, very lethargic. Know what I mean? I didn't feel like doing anything. Now don't get me wrong. We did school. But beyond that....I just didn't feel like getting the kids all ready to go. I kept thinking and thinking of a good excuse to tell Mindy to get out of going, but I couldn't think of anything, and well....I WAS NOT GOING TO BAIL ON HER. I hate it when people bail on me at the last minute with a dumb excuse. So we went.
We of course were late, but....not too late...just a few minutes and were excited to see all the set-ups of the pumpkins. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was this.Talk about having some fun. They had scarecrows with painted pumpkin faces in different set-ups across the front field. They had an Aladdin theme, Peter Pan, Flinstones (my favorite), Winnie the Pooh, and quite a few others. They also had a maze that the kids really enjoyed. Oh, and then in the back they had more of a historical set-up. They had a scene from the Civil War, and old West town, and then an Indian scene. They had chickens and a few animals. Loved it. We did the hayride too. I'd like to go back again because I heard that you can set up an educational tour, and do a few more hands on things. I think that would be fun too.

What fun!!
My fave pumpkin memory was one year at work week at the Wilds and all staff had a harvest party---pumpkin carving contest and lots of yummy food---those people not only can cook, but those pumpkins wer really COOL...I have no clue as to how those fine lines got cut....skylines, faces with detail....you name it!!
What great memories you make with your kids!!
good thing you didn't cancel. JUST KIDDING. We had a good time.
Definitely looks like a fun place!
