Well, there isn't really a part two to my story. It's pretty much as simple as what I said. My doctor wanted to keep me under observation to make sure that my temperature didn't spike again, so that's why I had to stay in the hospital. I guess you could consider there being pros and cons to the whole hospital stay, but obviously the biggest con was being away from the kids especially Makenna since I'm the sole provider of her milk supply. But no need to worry. Big Bertha does just as well on a bottle. She guzzles those suckers.
The boys and Makenna came to visit me on Sunday afternoon. I had to meet them downstairs in the lobby because they weren't supposed to come up to my floor because of germs (at least that's what the nurses said...I think they just didn't want screaming kids there!). And can I just say that they were screaming and running around like crazy banshees! They were out of control. Talk about being crazy! Eric's poor mom looked pretty overwhelmed and tired from it all. I was so thankful when Betsy, my friend, volunteered to watch the younger boys that night. And then we called our friends the Hall's to watch the older boys, so that she could have a break.
Oh, back to the pros about being in the hospital...and these are two lame ones....crushed ice......and cable television!!!!! We have neither, so they were both pretty enjoyable. And of course, I was catered to by the nurses and by Eric.
But I'm so happy to be home!
