snow, snow, and more snow

Let me just start off by saying this past Monday 3-3 was absolutely awesome weather. It was like the beginning of spring. It might have even hit the seventies, then we had Friday 3-8, where a BLIZZARD started and went on all day and onto Saturday. By Saturday we had at least 8 inches of snow if not more. Talk about crazy weather! However, this was one of the first times the boys all got to go outside and play in the snow. (Oh, by the way, it's 3-10 now and the snow is melting quickly...it was 50 degrees today. We went out without jackets!
Here's some pics of the kids in the snow. Even Makenna got pictures in the snow right before she fell face first in the snow and lost her love for the great snowy outdoors.

Snow Days are here!

I'm sad to admit this, but these are some of my kids first times to go out and play in the snow. I'm sure we've taken them out when they were babies to get the first snow pictures, but I really think this is their first time....PLAYING. It's kinda nice because..although I have to get them all bundled up, I don't have to stand out there anymore freezing with them. I just bundle them up and send them on their way. They had a blast! I found this junky sled at a garage sale this past summer for 50 cents, but hey....it works! In case you were wondering....Makenna was inside in her jumperoo and Kaleb was .....in trouble....more about that later.)

What is this??

It's April. Shoot, it's almost Easter, and this is what is on the ground outside. Do remember my pictures from just a couple of days ago? The ones with the kids eating ICE CREAM OUTSIDE???? I can not believe that there is snow on the ground?? Now I realize that this snow will melt in the next hour, but still...it's supposed to be spring. Flowers are blooming. Look there are leaves on the trees again. Shorts and tshirts are in the drawers again. I actually had to pull the boys' winter coats back out.
What in the world??? This is Easter last year...Look at how pretty it is! And this is probably what we're gonna be dealing with this year.I just can not believe this. How does the weather do this?? How can it be warm one day and freezing cold the next??
