JUNE 28th

That's the day!!! The new baby's due date is June 28th. I went for the first appointment today, and they did a sonogram to see how far along I am, six weeks and six days. I even got pictures. The doctor did say that if everything goes well, he would be willing to induce me 10 days early!!!! Yay!!!!! (The arrows obviously point to the baby.)

What we do for fun in the Alma household

So, last week sometime I went out by myself to do some shopping. When I got back home the boys told me that they had built a roller coaster in the living room. I, of course, was not horribly surprised. I told him that they should have just slid down the stairs which got Eric to thinking which got Eric to building this: the RAMP down our stairs to the basement. All the boys took turns on it. Shoot, I even took a turn.Jakeb almost flipped his, although when he saw his video, he wanted to do it again. The boys weren't too impressed becasue they were somewhat scared.
I thought it was awesome!!!

Today and Tomorrow

Today is the first day in almost a week where I haven't felt sick to my stomach like I'm gonna puke at any moment. Although I don't feel 100% awesome, I also don't feel like running to the bathroom either. I had forgotten what morning sickness felt like, although I don't know why they call it morning sickness when it lasts all day.......anyway

Tomorrow, I get a due date. Tomorrow I do go to the doctor and find out when this baby is coming out. Eric keeps teasing me that it's twins. AHHHHH!!!!

Classical music = scary music

Okay, so I don't know the entire story behind this because I was in the store, but this is the jist of it. Eric was letting the boys listen to classical music. It cause the boys to start flipping out and calling it "scary music" which only caused Kaleb to giggle with glee. Eric would turn it off, and Kaleb would say, "again" which caused to boys to scream again. They eventually decided that classical music wasn't really "scary music." They actually ask to listen to the "scary music" now.

An update on Jakeb's snakes

Today Jakeb told me that he has spiders in his ears, and that the snakes are no longer in his hair. "They're outside taking a break, playing a game."

BLAKE's words

Blake told me the other day, "I think we should name the new baby...George Bush! Or wait, what was the name of the first President? I mean George Washington!"

He also told me today that he really likes Jesus and God.

November already????

I can't believe that it's November already! WHere has the year gone? I mean seriously, November is a pretty big month for us. We have three holidays in November: my birthday, Kaleb's birthday, and Thanksgiving. And then of course, there is the day after Thanksgiving which is the craziest, but yet best day to shop of the entire year. I love that it's deemed "Black Friday." This year we are planning to go to Michigan for Thanksgiving. Hopefully, we'll still get to go shopping too.

OF course, November is a pretty month. I love to watch the leaves change colors and fall to the ground in the beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows. I try to get a least a couple of times out with the kids to get the perfect fall pictures.

Let's see, I also have to do all my Christmas shopping too. Last year, I had most of it done before November, but then I kept returning stuff and buying new stuff. This year I decided that I would wait until November to even start it. I've got a few things already, but not too much.

So anyway, that's what the next month's plans are...birthdays, shopping, and Thanksgiving! Pretty fun!

A beautiful Fall day

So yesterday was so nice out and NOT WET that we went outside and enjoyed the weather and the leaves. It seems like we haven't been out that often this fall, and that's probably my fault, but we went out and the boys had a ball. They really enjoyed jumping in the leaves. We, or should I say I, raked and raked and made a mountain of leaves for them to jump in. Kaleb wasn't really impressed with the leaves at first, but then they grew on him. He actually started crying when Blake threw some leaves on him.

You should have seen the boys run, jump, and play. It was great. A couple of times I actually caught Luke "swimming" through the leaves. I filmed a little bit of it. I'll try to see if I can get it posted, so you can watch the video. (but only if you don't make fun of me laughing on the video.)

Ebay

I've been ebaying lately, and for once.....I haven't been buying. I've been selling. In the past week, I've made over $200!!!!! YAY!! Too bad I undercharged for shipping, and had to pay out of pocket. Oh well...lesson learned! Poor kids though, I've been selling toys. Obviously, I'm selling the old toys to make room for the new toys that are coming for Christmas. This was just the first sweep of toys. I need to make at least one other sweep and maybe two sweeps to ebay a little more!!!

Pregnant moment already

Some of you might be saying that it's a little early, but I seriously had a pregnant moment last Thursday. In fact, I'm still recovering from the whole ordeal.

It all started when I decided that we should go to Costco and get a pizza. I figured that since I had a $3 off coupon that it would be the same price as fixing something at home, and I was all for it since I wouldn't have to cook or clean up. Eric was supposed to meet us there at 6:30 which turned into 7:00 because of traffic. The boys and I walked around Costco passing the time which only caused the boys to be a little unruly. It was getting closer to 7:00, so we went to order the pizza.

Now, let me clarify things: the only reason we came to Costco was to use the coupon that we had for the pizza! I had had the coupon since the beginning of August. It was in the same spot this whole time. I ordered our food, reached into the spot where the coupon was, grabbed the coupon, grabbed my cash, and started to hand the guy my money. As I was about to hand the guy my money I realized that my coupon wasn't there anymore. (You must realize that I had had it in my hand less than 10 seconds before!) I had lost the coupon between getting it out of my purse and grabbing my cash. I searched my purse frantically. I couldn't find it anywhere. There was a guy behind me sighing patiently as I comb through my purse. The boys are running wild, and I'm furious because NOTHING seems to be going right.

I had just had that stupid coupon. Where could it have been. It wasn't in my pocket, my wallet, or my front pocket of my purse. ARGH!!!! So finally I give up because the guy waiting for my money probably thinks I'm psycho at this point. I pay the guy, yell at the kids to come with me, and sit down and wait for Eric. All the while, I'm still checking pockets, wallets, and my purse. That stupid coupon must have gotten up and walked away because I never did find it.

As I was venting to Eric, I had it....the almost pregnant moment....when I was trying to explain what happend. I was pretty upset at this point which got me extremely mad and emotional, and I almost broke down in pregnant tears.

(By the way: even Eric couldn't find the coupon. I'm telling you. I think the guy at the register took it to play a very mean joke on me. )
